InterCultural Festival edition 2021 #Audencia_icfV

22 April 2021
How did we took advantage of the lockdown and still managed to meet without any Travel Certificate?

Despite the current pandemic context, with an extraordinary team of students from IC Team (Grande Ecole Student Association) and student representatives from the International MSc and Full Time MBA programs, we were able to keep our flag_event Intercultural Festival (ICF), now in its fifth edition, online on our student platform for well-being Bee Well.

More than a hundred students enjoyed an afternoon or a morning depending on their country, during  two days of fun, for one unique online event to celebrate our diversity and to embrace our differences!

A word from the two presidents that made this event happen.

Maria GHAZIRI, MSc ICF President

At a time when strict lockdown rules made it difficult to meet new people and had us all sitting at home after 6 pm, the ICF 5th edition was truly an escape. The entire journey was exciting. Many students stepped forward as organizers and performers. We met frequently online, exchanged ideas, and joined all our efforts into making ICF virtual event as lively as the physical one. With the guidance and support from Audencia, we found a way around every obstacle.

Finally, we decided to be flexible on the schedule and to hold the event on two separate days. Consequently, students and teachers who were tight on schedule were able to join us on any of the dates and did not miss the fun.

I find that this year’s intercultural festival was a great opportunity to make new friends and discover various cultures. It felt good to see the fun side of each other and to push each other out of our comfort zone. I’m left with great memories.

Romane DES MOUTIS, IC Team Representative for ICF

Organizing the 5th edition of the Intercultural Festival completely at a distance was a real challenge! We had to try to gather as many Audencia students as possible, from all programs and all nationalities.

The most frustrating part: organizing everything together without ever being able to meet. But the result was worth it. So of course it wasn't always easy, there were obviously some small technical problems, but it was a great success!

It was very nice to see students from all over the world mobilizing to make this festival unique.
