Welcome! This page is designed to provide you with information and resources on your studies this fall within the context of COVID-19. It is relevant to both degree-seeking and exchange students and will be updated regularly as the situation evolves. 

These extraordinary circumstances have allowed us to innovate to provide you with even greater support services to compliment your programme. 

On this page, we aim to keep you updated on major public health measures and how they affect your arrival and studies in France. We are committed to keeping you safe – while providing a top-notch education that helps you continue moving towards your career and life goals.

All fall 2021 courses will be on campus/on site.

Special efforts at Audencia

We are prepared and are following national regulations. Students remain able to connect in person and online to Audencia services including:

  • Career services
  • Internship services
  • All remote resources such as those of the Knowledge Hub
  • Health services such as nurses and psychologists (in French, English and Chinese)
  • Minimum distance of one metre
  • Cafeteria and break rooms rearranged to accommodate social distancing

We’ve made some adaptations to the format of our programmes to consider both learning and health. Please see the next section on programme formats and dates.

Audencia has developed a complete physical, mental and emotional health service called Well-being @Audencia. You will have support in your personal, academic and professional life.

We are partnering with SUMPPS (University Service of Preventive Medicine and Health Promotion) to offer a full range of services with a multidisciplinary team of professionals: bilingual nurses, doctors (both general practitioners and specialists), psychologists and advisors. Health providers can also refer you to outside specialists as needed.

Both emergency consultations and appointments are available to you without advance payment. Just be sure to have your vital card (medical card) or social security certificate/card. Check the SUMPPS page for information on how to sign up and general costs.

As part of this service, you will be required to have one standard medical check-up per year. All services are confidential.

We also recommend online platforms such as SOS Médecins (French) or Doctolib (French) in case of emergency.

Health Pass

You must present a health pass to access leisure and culture venues and events bringing together more than 50 people.

From early August, you will also need to present a pass in bars, restaurants, malls, hospitals (except if you are admitted for urgent care), retirement homes, residential care homes, and for long-distance travel by plane, train or coach. For campsites, and other holiday accommodation you will need to present a pass once, on arrival. This list may be extended as necessary.

The health pass is not required for children under 12. It will be required from 30 August for young people aged 12 to 17, and for the staff of public venues.

The pass must prove one of the three following items:

  • That you are fully vaccinated (with an EMA-approved vaccine or similar):
  1. Seven days after the second shot for two-shot vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca);
  2. Four weeks after the shot for one-shot vaccines (Johnson & Johnson);
  3. Seven days after the shot for vaccines administered to people who have already had COVID-19 (only one dose is necessary).
  • OR that you have been tested (PCR or antigen) with a negative result within the last 48hrs;
  • OR that you have recovered from COVID-19, attested by a positive PCR or antigen test result, at least 15 days and no more than 6 months old.

Passes can be digital (on the TousAntiCovid app) or in paper form (proof of vaccination or test result). They include a QR code that will be scanned on entry into the venue or event.

The French health pass is interoperable with the EU Digital COVID Certificate scheme for travel within the European Union, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland and the Vatican.

Please keep in mind that raw numbers don’t mean much unless you take population into account. Note that you can select to view results by “total per 1 million population” for a more representative number.

PROGRAMME FORMATS AND DATES

Audencia’s programme directors and professors have been working hard to set up their programmes and courses to fit your learning needs – while still respecting the most up-to-date health and safety regulations. These formats apply for both exchange and degree-seeking students.

Have a look at the plan we’ve put into place so you know what to expect when you start your programme. Please understand information may change based on the spread of the virus, the advice of public health experts or an order by our federal or regional governments.

Choose what your first term in the Master in Management will look like:

  • Option 1: Do the entire first term in Nantes (starting 1 September)
  • Option 2: Do the entire first term online* and come to Nantes for the start of the second term
  • Option 3: Do the entire first term online* as well as the second term provided you choose one of the following specialisations: Corporate Finance, Consulting, Marketing for a Product Manager
  • Option 4: Transfer to the Spring intake and start your first term in February 2022; if you choose option 4, please contact us for a revised contract

The choice is entirely up to you; you have until June 30 to decide. The framework outlined above allows you to shape your programme format to your needs and comfort level. *Term(s) offered temporarily online due to exceptional public health circumstances and related travel restrictions.

Choose what your first term in the MSc in Management-Engineering will look like:

  • Option 1: Do the entire first term in Nantes (starting in September)
  • Option 2: Do the entire first term online* and come to Nantes for the start of the second term
  • Option 3: Do the entire first term online* as well as the second term provided you choose one of the following specialisations: Corporate Finance, Consulting, Marketing for a Product Manager
  • Option 4: Transfer to the Spring intake and start your first term in February 2022; if you choose option 4, please contact us for a revised contract

  • Option 2: Do the entire first term online*, starting on 18 October 2021 and come to Nantes for the second term starting in February 2022
  • Option 3: Do the entire programme online* (starting 18 October); please note that the possibility to do the second term online is subject to availability
  • Option 4: For the MSc in Supply Chain and Purchasing Management only: transfer to the Spring intake and start your first term in February 2022; if you choose option 4, please contact us for a revised contract

The choice is entirely up to you; you have until October 1st to decide. The framework outlined above allows you to shape your programme format to your needs and comfort level. *Term(s) offered temporarily online due to exceptional public health circumstances and related travel restrictions.

All students enrolled in the Extended MSc programmes will have classes fully online from July 8 to August 15. Starting August 18, students can come on campus or continue the Extended online. If you want, you can do the entire Extended online, and then choose to join the MSc mid-October on-campus or online*, following one of the following options:

  • Option 1: Do the entire first term in Nantes, starting on 18 August, 2021
  • Option 2: Do the entire first term online* and come to Nantes for the second term starting in February 2022
  • Option 3: Do the entire programme online*; please note that the possibility to do the second term online is subject to availability
  • Option 4: Transfer to the Fall 2022 intake; if you choose option 4, please contact us for a revised contract

The choice is entirely up to you, you have until June 28 to decide. The framework outlined above allows you to shape your programme format to your needs and comfort level. *Term(s) offered temporarily online due to exceptional public health circumstances and related travel restrictions.

Classes start on September 20 in Nantes. If needed, you may start your classes online* and join the classes in Nantes anytime it is possible for you to arrive.

Classes start in Deusto (Spain) in October. If you need intensive language lessons, language classes start on September 6 until September 21.

The classes at Deusto will be given face to face, with no possibility to follow them online.

Fall term for exchange students will be published soon.

Due to the global crisis we are currently facing, Studapart updated their cancellation conditions if you book a place with a private owner.

You will get a full refund* if you find yourself in one of the situations below (supporting documents will be asked):

  • You could not get your visa because the borders are closed
  • You could not get your visa because of the decision of the French embassy or consulate in your country of residence

*Please note that if you cancel your booking before the arrival date you entered on the Studapart platform : Studapart booking fees, your first month rent and the "Garantie Studapart" (if you bought it) fees will be refunded. If you book a place through a student residence, then Studapart rules do not apply as each residence has its own rules regarding cancellations. If you are considering a student residence, we advise you to discuss COVID-19 related cancellation policies with the chosen residence.

VISA, INSURANCE AND MORE

Our page on student life has a section devoted to preparing for your stay. There, you’ll find complete information on visas, health insurance, residency permits and CVEC.

Below, you can find some timely information on how COVID-19 might affect the normal processes of preparing paperwork for your trip.

French consulates and embassies around the globe are accepting visa applications online via the France-Visas portal. Please note that as study is considered “essential travel,” country-specific travel restrictions do not apply. 

France is prioritising student visas, but we recommend applying as soon as possible. Review updated advice for students coming to France and contact your local Campus France office for further guidance.

Health insurance

Health insurance (medical insurance) is for illness and covers doctor visits, medicines, etc. If you are a European student, you should apply for a European Health Insurance Card in your home country. With the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), you may claim for partial reimbursement of medical expenses.

In order to be fully reimbursed, you have to take out your own private health insurance to complement the EHIC. You can purchase a private health insurance in your home country together with the third-party liability insurance and repatriation insurance (mentioned below).

We understand that due to unforeseen circumstances created by the pandemic, it may not be possible for all students to start in the fall as planned. You have several options, depending on your programme. 

You may attend the entire first term online* for all our Programmes, except the Master in European & International Business Management.
Please note that the online courses are synchronous, going live at the French Time (UTC+1).
For students of the Master in Management-Grande Ecole, the second term can be done online* as well, but only for the following specialisations: Corporate Finance, Consulting, Marketing for Product Manager.

We welcome students in the following programmes to start studies in-person at Audencia in September if unable to attend in-person or online in the spring. To defer your enrolment to September, please contact us so you can sign a revised contract. Tuition fees will remain the same.

FAQS

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions by degree-seeking students. 

Will career services still be available?

You will have access to a broad range of career and alumni services, no matter where you are:

  • Individual career coaching sessions
  • Career fairs putting you in touch with 100+ companies for internships and jobs
  • Exclusive access to job-search platforms, including GoinGlobal, Jobteaser and more
  • Workshops to hone your professional and job-search skills, including CV writing, job interview preparation, salary negotiation, LinkedIn networking, etc.

English test centres are closed in my country. What can I do?

We accept the online English test Duolingo. You may take the test completely online and submit it to us with your application. 

Please note that English test scores are not required for native speakers or applicants who have completed their undergraduate degrees in English.

I have taken or booked my English test (TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS), but there is a delay. What can I do?

We recommend you submit your application as soon as possible even without the English test. You can always add the test at a later stage.

Are my scholarships still valid if I defer admission to Fall 2021?

Yes, if you are already registered or admitted to your programme and defer your enrolment to Fall 2021, any scholarships detailed in your contract will remain unchanged.

Will I have to quarantine upon arrival?

Quarantine requirements will differ depending on your country of departure and your vaccination status.  For up to date information for international students, please visit:

Quarantine means that you must stay at home as much as possible, avoid contact with others as much as possible, monitor your temperature and immediately report any symptoms to a doctor. It is advised to notify your accommodation in advance so that they can take appropriate measures, if necessary (disinfection, etc.). The aim of a quarantine is of course to protect everyone’s health.

What if I arrive late?

You may start classes online and then come to Nantes anytime during the first term. Please contact us if you have any questions.

To give you the best experience this Fall, Audencia is:

  • Holding in-person classes in large classrooms to ensure social distancing
  • Equipping classrooms with advanced video devices to allow either in-person or online attendance for some classes

Yes! During your first day as an exchange student at Audencia, you will take part in an orientation session. It is very important that you attend, because we will cover valuable topics! You will receive  detailed information about the orientation programme in August.

If you are not able to participate in this session, please inform your coordinator right away.

I’d be interested in postponing my exchange to the 2021-2022 academic year.

Please ask the international office of your home institution whether a postponement is possible within your curriculum.

When will the programme start?

 

  • Grande Ecole and SciencesCom programmes: Every year both graduate and undergraduate courses start at the end of August
  • Other programmes: Contact us for the start date of other programmes

 

If I postpone, will the courses I’ve chosen be available?

Please check our course catalogue as some courses are available in both terms and others are only available in fall or in spring.
