  • Group consultancy assignment
  • Individual internship
  • Research project

Delve into your real-world study of data management in finance that will influence the trajectory of your career. This dissertation is both academic and practical, allowing you to showcase what you have learned and how you plan to apply it.

Personal guidance

You will be matched with a supervisor who will provide personal guidance throughout the life of your project.

Independent learning

You will have tutorials with your supervisor, but the bulk of your work will be self-managed. Your project is a substantial piece of individual work that requires extensive initiative and independent learning.

Format

The bulk of your master’s dissertation (also known as a “thesis” in the United States) will be in written form. The oral defense will take place after you’ve submitted the written dissertation. You can defend it either in person in Nantes or Shenzhen, or distantly.

The last four months of your programme (anytime from July to December) can take the form of a collective consultancy assignment, individual internship, or research project for a company.

You’ll secure your internship or consultancy anywhere in the world with the assistance of our career advisors. This mandatory professional experience will be guided by a faculty member, so you’ll gain both a hands-on practical understanding and an academic one – something that looks good on any resume. Internships in France are paid; this will vary from country to country, depending on local laws.

If you opt for a research project, you will work closely with a researcher from Audencia on contemporary subjects in Data Management in Finance that can enlighten companies in further practical application.
